Ruth and Bruce offer you a warm welcome to Wellington Lodge, Staintondale. Situated in the North York Moors National Park, between Scarborough and Whitby, you will enjoy beautiful surroundings – magnificent coutryside and excellent views of the sea. We also take people llama trekking, so you can meet our inquisitive and gentle animals as they relax and play in the meadow beyond the house.
This area is a treasure trove of activities and scenery for you to enjoy. Staintondale is near The Heritage Coast and The Cleveland Way, making it an ideal base for coastal and country walks. York, steeped in history makes a great day out or closer are Pickering, Whitby and Goathland (Heartbeat Country), the picturesque village of Robin Hood’s Bay, The North York Moors Railway, Castle Howard and the R.S.P.B’s reserve at Bempton Cliffs.
We have two double rooms, both en-suite. Each have tea and coffee making facilities and colour television. Ruth serves excellent ‘Aga cooked’ English breakfasts, alternatives are available. Local produce is used, the bread and preserves are homemade. Breakfast is served in the Sun Lounge overlooking the garden with views to the valley and sea beyond.
